The Master in Finance is a 10-month program (September to
June) taught in English. It is designed for students who have
just completed their undergraduate studies, with limited or no
professional experiences, and who wish to pursue a career in
investment banking (corporate finance, equities, fixed income,
derivatives, etc.), hedge funds, private equity, private banking,
asset management, or in the finance area of a large corporation.
Target candidates will be undergraduate degree students in their final year with an
outstanding academic record, and who want to invest a year in a master program
comprised mainly of finance courses in order to map a career path in the field of
finance as analysts.
The main advantage of the Master in Finance is its focus on today’s most advanced
areas of finance such as Islamic finance, risk management, behavioral finance or
mergers and acquisitions.
This is a program centered around finance, in line with the demands of the recruiting
market in the financial arena. Additionally, students will be required to undertake
the level I of CFA qualification, a globally recognized international degree within the
finance community.
CFA® Exam
CFA exams are the most renowned qualifications for finance
professionals worldwide, which guarantees IE Master
in Finance a place among the world’s most prestigious
educational programs and a leading position in ethical and professional standards.
IE Master in Finance students have five scholarships available per calendar year to
enable them to take CFA level I.

Microfinance: emerging as a new asset class which has performed very well
in the recent turbulent times, and which provides financial tools that enable
members of underserved populations to become entrepreneurs. This course
should be pivotal for volunteers of our ongoing NGO, “financiers without borders”.
Islamic finance: strengthened by our recent alliance with King Abdul Aziz
University in Saudi Arabia, to create a Madrid Base Center of Islamic Finance.
There are already 800bn USD invested through Sharia compliant principles.
Plus: private equity valuation project, research report project, company
valuation project, among others.
